Member-only story
The way most women write about men on Medium is extremely toxic.
I’ve been thinking a lot about how women, write about men on Medium, and something feels off. It’s been on my mind, and I wanted to share some thoughts with you. It seems like every other post I see on Medium is about how men are this or that. I can’t help but wonder if these posts are written by ChatGPT, someone seeking clickbait, or maybe by someone fresh out of a breakup.
But here’s the thing: generalizing and bashing all men on a public platform isn’t the way to heal. It doesn’t help anyone, and it certainly doesn’t help in processing your pain. I am not writing this to say or conclude that Men vs. Women have a problem. I want to conclude as Men + Women vs The Problem.
The Silent Side of the Story
On the flip side, guys seem to have no space to express themselves on these platforms. They don’t often write long rants against women, and if they do, they’re criticized by everyone. Most men tend to keep their struggles to themselves, which is something worth pondering. Why is that? Because society makes fun of a man with a broken heart.
