Stress & Acne are more entangled than you think.

Stress and acne, two seemingly different issues, are more intertwined than we often realize. This discovery came to me not through extensive research or a doctor’s advice at first but through a journey of personal struggle and eventual realization. In sharing my story, I hope to shed light on this connection and perhaps offer solace to others experiencing similar struggles.

Stress triggers a response in our body that can lead to an increase in the production of certain hormones, such as cortisol. Cortisol is infamous for its ability to wreak havoc on our skin. It doesn’t just stop there; it also makes our skin’s oil glands work overtime, producing more oil, leading to clogged pores and, ultimately, acne. It’s like a domino effect; stress kicks off the process, and before you know it, your face is a map of your worries.
