Poem: Pharmacology Math Midterm

In the land of 9 to 5, an engineer’s day,
Tackling tech troubles, in every which way.
A beep on my phone, “Can you solve this?”, it read,
Without hesitation, an answer I led.

But, little did I know, as the sun took its dive,
My day of equations was far from alive.
Rushed to my class, set to start just past six,
Saw folks scribbling formulas, deep in the mix.

What test?”, I asked, with a startle and churn,
A midterm! they cried, it’s your turn to learn.
Pharmacology math, they handed the sheet,
My heart skipped a beat, could I face this feat?

90 minutes on the clock, ticking away,
But in 45, done! What more could I say?
I looked all around, pens still a blur,
Wondering, pondering, what’s the allure?

For the next three quarters, my mind went amok,
Were there secret questions? Was it just my luck?
Next week, we’ll unveil, how the fates did align,
Hoping, just hoping, that my answers shine.
