I usually try to avoid harsh terms like “toxic breeding ground,” but you’ve hit the nail on the head with this one. You’re absolutely right. They’ve become the very thing they sought to overcome. Sadly, I just try to avoid such people and not get involved in the situation. Nothing good usually comes out of it.

You can only change people who want to change. People need to grow to accept this, and the extent of a person’s growth is directly proportional to how much truth they can accept about themselves without getting offended. Unfortunately, neither group seems interested in growing.
