It began with a chance encounter, one that seemed to promise the beginning of something genuine. I entered your life when I was at peace, and it almost felt like you left me in pieces. Reflecting, I’ve replayed every moment, every conversation, and every decision, wondering if I could have changed the outcome. If I had the chance to go back, what would I do differently? But as I pondered these questions, I realized that maybe some things are meant to remain unaltered, serving as lessons rather than regrets.

You were facing significant challenges when we met, preparing for a monumental event in your life, all while battling a deadly disease.
To me, you seemed innocent and vulnerable, a stark contrast to the complexities of your profession. This duality made it hard to distinguish the person from the persona, but my first instinct was to nurture you back to health, to offer support in your time of need. Because, that’s what I do.

I didn’t know what would transpire over two weeks would build or break me into the person I am today, for better or worse. I’m glad whatever happened, happened, for it has laid the foundation of my outlook towards life today.

I was in awe of how vulnerable you were about your struggles, the relationship between your parents and how it troubled you as a kid, how your brother coming out as “they/them” felt like a loss in the family, how you battled stress/depression due to your career and…
