Despite all being in place, I felt adrift in life.
Over the past few years, I’ve been relentlessly working towards a goal that served as my North Star. It was a source of motivation during tough times and a push when I felt exhausted. This goal drove me with an intensity that’s hard to describe. It gave me a sense of purpose, which I believe is essential for everyone.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances, this purpose suddenly seemed unattainable, shattering everything I had strived for.
My existence was lost. Everything I have achieved or done was in pursuit of this singular goal. But then, I was left wondering what to do with my life as I no longer had North Star guiding me.
I reached a point in my life where I felt somewhat lost. It’s not that I was sad — when I was around others, I laughed and engaged in conversations. However, when I was alone, it was a different story. I was emotionless, feeling nothing at all. This blank state is unsettling, especially when it’s a stark contrast to my outward demeanor.
